چکیده
Abstract A multi-beam X-ray optics that can image a sample from different directions in large angular range simultaneously without rotation is reported. It consists of 28 thin silicon crystals are arranged σ-polarization diffraction geometry so the diffracted X-rays an incident white synchrotron radiation beam pass through sample. tomogram simple test was calculated projection images recorded with optics, showing alignment accuracy sufficient for tomography be achieved.

The contribution of Σ ∗ → Λ π to measured Λ polarization †
Calculations of the polarization of Λ and ¯ Λ particles after fragmentation of a polarized quark produced in processes like Z-decay and deep inelas-tic polarized lepton scattering must include Λ and ¯ Λ produced as decay products of Σ 0 and Σ * as well as those produced directly. These decay contributions are significant and not feasibly included in theoretical calculations based on QCD without...
متن کامل100 ps time-resolved solution scattering utilizing a wide-bandwidth X-ray beam from multilayer optics
100 ps time-resolved X-ray solution-scattering capabilities have been developed using multilayer optics at the beamline NW14A, Photon Factory Advanced Ring, KEK. X-ray pulses with an energy bandwidth of DeltaE/E = 1-5% are generated by reflecting X-ray pulses (DeltaE/E = 15%) through multilayer optics, made of W/B(4)C or depth-graded Ru/C on silicon substrate. This tailor-made wide-bandwidth X-...
متن کاملX-ray Polarization of Gamma-Ray Bursts
The degree and the temporal evolution of linear polarization in the prompt and afterglow emission of gamma-ray bursts is a very robust diagnostic of some key features of gamma-ray bursts jets and their micro and macro physics. In this contribution, I review the current status of the theory of polarized emission from GRB jets during the prompt, optical flash, and afterglow emission. I compare th...
متن کاملPolarization propagator for x-ray spectra.
A polarization propagator for x-ray spectra is outlined and implemented in density functional theory. It rests on a formulation of a resonant-convergent first-order polarization propagator approach which makes it possible to directly calculate the x-ray absorption cross section at a particular frequency without explicitly addressing the excited states. The quality of the predicted x-ray spectru...
متن کاملCoherent convergent-beam time-resolved X-ray diffraction.
The use of coherent X-ray lasers for structural biology allows the use of nanometre diameter X-ray beams with large beam divergence. Their application to the structure analysis of protein nanocrystals and single particles raises new challenges and opportunities. We discuss the form of these coherent convergent-beam (CCB) hard X-ray diffraction patterns and their potential use for time-resolved ...
